✨the white peacock ✨ this piece was one of my first two gold leaf pieces! I find that after putting it away for a bit and pulling it out again, I Iike it a lot more than I initially did 🌿

✨The Quiet✨

✨gilded owl✨ I'm really enjoying gold leaf but oh my it's difficult to get "perfect." It's a good exercise for me, I believe. I tend to get too focused on things looking crisp, clean, and particular so having that layer of "unknown" is pushing me to embrace surprise 🌿

I've been working in my sketchbook more than usual this week and it's been really therapeutic. Thinking through what motivates me, what my vision is for me work, and what drives me to create. Questions that are beautifully open-ended.
